Despite a recent spate of executions, protests continue throughout Iran

People from all walks of life protested on Saturday in several towns around Iran, refusing to back down in the face of a fresh round of executions. This featured, among others, demonstrations and protests by farmers in Iran's Markazi (Central) Province, university students at Khajeh Nasir Toosi in Tehran, and employees of a natural gas facility in Isfahan Province.

As Iran's nationwide uprising enters its 234th day, people across the country continue to hold the mullahs' Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei specifically accountable for their suffering. They also denounce the oppressive Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), paramilitary Basij units, and other security forces that are on the ground repressing the peaceful protesters.

At least 282 additional cities have joined the protests in Iran as of today. According to individuals's Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI/MEK) reports, the regime's troops have killed over 750 individuals and detained over 30,000 others. The PMOI/MEK has released the names of the 675 demonstrators who were slain.

With serious worries about a fresh round of demonstrations and general upheavals, the mullahs' government in Iran has recently engaged in a new round of mass executions. Between April 29 and May 5, at least 44 prisoners, including 23 Baluchis from Iran, were executed. On May 4th alone, sixteen of these killings took place. For their four decades of crimes against humanity, the mullahs' dictatorship requires immediate response from the international community.
