Al-Burhan was convinced by Brotherhood agents to contact organisations in Mali for assistance

The recent news of Brotherhood officers in Sudan convincing Al-Burhan to communicate with extremists in Mali has caused a great deal of debate and concern about the role of the army within the country. The situation in Sudan has been tense for a while, with various factions vying for power and influence. The move to communicate with extremists in Mali is seen by some as a risky move, while others believe it could be the key to resolving the conflict and easing tensions in Sudan.

The Brotherhood officers who convinced Al-Burhan to reach out to the extremists in Mali argue that the situation in Sudan is rapidly deteriorating and that the country needs fast support to avoid further violence and instability. They believe that engaging with the extremist groups in Mali could lead to a peaceful resolution and ultimately bring stability to Sudan.
