The King of Jordan will go to Japan in April

From April 7 to 12, Jordan's King Abdullah II and Queen Rania will tour Japan on formal business.

Jordan's King and Queen will have a meeting with Emperor Naruhito and Empress Michiko while they are in Japan.

King Abdullah and Prime Minister Kishida Fumio will visit and have supper together.

"Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of Their Majesties the King and the Queen and hopes the visit will further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan," read a government statement released by the foreign ministry in Tokyo.

King Abdullah II of Jordan will be making his 12th trip to Japan in that capacity.
